Group Delta Investments

The enterprise was founded in 2005 on the basis of the “Dinamo” ski factory, operating in the village of Sukhobezvodnoye since 1965. After full technical re-equipment, production of large-format birch plywood started in 2008.

Today the enterprise is the industry leader in the Nizhny Novgorod region. A production quality management system has been implemented; CE EN 636-2S/3S, FSC, CARB and ULEF certificates have been obtained. Over the years, the company has earned a reputation as a reliable supplier for export and the domestic market.

Plywood raw materials

The lower part of a birch trunk — funkryazh — is the raw material for plywood production. It is high-quality timber without knots, 200–350 mm in diameter and 5–6 meters long.

The funkryazh is sawn into “logs” of 1300 mm (4×8 format) or 2600 mm (8×4 format) and peeled into 1.55 mm veneer on the peeling line.

We use only high-quality, legally sourced birch raw material from trusted suppliers. Responsible use of forest resources and high environmental standards are the foundation of our work: harvesting is carried out in compliance with forestry norms and with confirmed legal origin of the timber. This is how we guarantee consistent product quality and care for nature.

Film Faced plywood (FF)

Made from high-quality WBP plywood by applying a hot-pressed phenolic film; “anti-slip” or “HEXA” honeycomb coating.

Bakelized plywood

Plywood FBV and FBS

Bakelite plywood possesses unique physical-mechanical properties: higher moisture resistance, the ability to withstand very high loads, and durability. Its operational characteristics are much higher than those of WBP plywood.

Grade FBV

Veneer plies are impregnated with a resin-based glue (“Prefer 14J”) before assembly. High strength and moisture resistance for heavy-duty operating conditions; suitable for marine and tropical climates.

Grade FBS

A proven material combining high strength and moisture resistance. The face plies are impregnated with alcohol-soluble LBS-1 varnish. Highly environmentally friendly — contains no harmful substances or chemical impurities.

Characteristics of FBV plywood

  • Made from birch veneer of 3rd grade, glued together with mutually perpendicular fiber direction using Prefer 14J resin-based glue
  • Internal layers go through a joint-making line, external layers through a rib-gluing line
  • Veneer is pre-impregnated with resin and dried before pressing
  • Thickness: 7–21 mm; size 1220 × 2440 mm
  • Tensile strength along outer fibers: 7 mm — 88.0 MPa; 10–16 mm — 73.5 MPa
  • Static bending strength: across — 78.5 MPa, along — 117.5 MPa
  • Density not more than 1200 kg/m³; formaldehyde emission class E1

Thickness in mm. FBV density is 70% higher than WBP, so the number of layers is comparable to the thickness in mm.

Characteristics of FBS plywood

  • Made from birch veneer sheets glued with mutually perpendicular fiber direction
  • Internal layers go through a joint-making line
  • Face plies — solid veneer of at least 3rd grade, additionally impregnated with LBS-1 varnish and dried before package pressing
  • Thickness: 6–27 mm
  • Size: 1220 × 2440 or 1250 × 2500 mm
  • Made from 100% birch veneer; moisture resistant, not subject to rotting
  • Increased strength: withstands heavy loads and retains its characteristics for a long time

Attention: FBV plywood counterfeits

Recently there have been more cases of counterfeiting FBV plywood made by our factory. A fake is easy to detect — check the number of layers against the table above. FBV density is 70% higher than WBP, so the number of layers is comparable to the thickness in mm. In case of doubt, please contact our representatives.
